A New Path for Fresh Food in Tribal Communities

Updated: 1 hour ago

Introducing Aambé Health "Living Food"

Access to fresh food is one of the most important foundations of community health. Yet for many Tribal communities across the United States, access to nutritious, locally grown food remains limited.

Long supply chains, remote geography, and decades of reliance on processed food systems have created real health challenges. Many communities are actively working to reverse those trends and restore healthier food systems.

That is why Aambé Health is launching Living Food.

Aambé Health Living Food, powered by One Season Farmers and Harvest Today, is a collaborative initiative focused on bringing year round fresh food production directly into Tribal communities.

The goal is simple but powerful.

Help communities grow their own food locally.

Not seasonally.

Not occasionally.

Every day of the year.

What Living Food Means

The name Living Food reflects something deeper than agriculture.

It represents fresh food that is grown locally, harvested daily, and delivered directly to the people who need it most.

Food that is alive. Food that nourishes. Food that helps communities reclaim control over their health and food systems.

Living Food supports a larger vision for Tribal communities that includes:

• Improving access to fresh and nutritious foods

• Supporting diabetes prevention and healthier diets

• Strengthening local food sovereignty

• Creating new economic opportunities

• Building sustainable food systems for future generations

At Aambé Health, we believe food is deeply connected to wellness, community strength, and long term health outcomes.

Living Food is a step toward restoring that connection.

Technology That Makes Year Round Growing Possible

At the heart of the Living Food initiative is the Harvest Wall, a patented vertical growing system invented by Harvest Today.

The Harvest Wall allows communities to grow fresh produce indoors in controlled environments. This makes it possible to grow leafy greens, herbs, and other nutrient rich foods 365 days a year, regardless of climate or season.

This technology allows communities to:

• Produce fresh food locally

• Reduce reliance on long distance supply chains

• Maintain consistent food production year round• Scale food production based on community needs

Operational Support from One Season Farmers

While technology is important, successful food systems require knowledge, training, and operational support.

That is where One Season Farmers plays a critical role.

One Season Farmers provides guidance and expertise to help communities establish and operate indoor growing systems successfully. Their team helps ensure that the systems become sustainable, productive, and integrated into the daily life of the community.

Together with Aambé Health and Harvest Today, the partnership creates a full ecosystem that includes:

• Growing technology

• Operational guidance

• Health focused food programming

• Community partnerships

The result is a program designed to create long term impact.
