Urgent Alert: Aambe Foundation Addresses Crisis of Violence Against Indigenous Communities

The crisis of violence against Indigenous peoples is both severe and under-recognized. Over half of Indigenous women have faced sexual violence, and murder ranks as the third leading cause of death among Native Americans. This is not just a crisis; it's an epidemic. The challenges in gathering accurate data exacerbate the issue, as many incidents remain underreported or completely unreported, making it difficult to grasp the full extent of this tragedy.

At the Aambe Foundation, our core mission is to shed light on these harsh realities and to actively combat violence within Indigenous communities. We are dedicated to supporting Indigenous families throughout our nation, offering aid and resources to those affected by these heinous acts.

Our efforts are focused on protecting the most vulnerable members of Indigenous communities, including those entangled in cycles of domestic violence, addiction, human trafficking, and the foster care system. These issues are often compounded by a long history of colonial violence and trauma, leaving deep scars within the community.

The Aambe Foundation is committed to serving all Indigenous peoples, whether they reside on their ancestral lands or live off-reservation. We aim to be a beacon of hope and a source of strength for those who have suffered the loss of loved ones to murder or face the uncertainty of having a missing family member.

Together, we can bring about change and ensure that the voices of the missing and murdered are heard and remembered. Join us in our mission to protect, serve, and honor the Indigenous communities across our country.
